Sustainability Manager

We are currently recruiting for Sustainability Manager to join our Technical Team

In your new role you will lead the businesses drive to become a more sustainable organisation, looking at several key areas in order to improve upon the current processes in place for Delilites and lead the business to become more environmentally friendly and sustainable in line with industry standards.

As Sustainability Manager you will echo the quality, legality, and authenticity of all our values at Deli Lites and give customers the opportunity to achieve their extraordinary results through the passion we have for our people and food.

We are currently recruiting for a Sustainability Manager to join our Technical Team.

Your Duties:

  • Waste management
  • Water management
  • Energy Management
  • Chair Sustainability meetings
  • Maintain Sustainability objectives and report on KPIs on Carbon Footprint, waste reduction, plastics packaging reduction, community work etc.
  • Create a Sustainability manifesto/plan for the business and train all staff.
  • Lead the businesses ‘going paperless’ initiative
  • Drive and implement a specific Sustainability programme that will deliver NET ZERO emissions
  • Develop and deliver proactive Sustainability programs which influence culture and behaviours.
  • Proven Experience in a similar role/environment
  • A third level qualification in a related discipline
  • Experience and genuine interest in Sustainability and Environmental initiatives.
  • Achieve and maintain certifications that confirm our commitment to Sustainability programmes which meet our stakeholder obligations in full such as BCorp and RSPO.
  • Achieve and maintain full compliance with Sustainability legislative requirements for both sites.
  • Develop workforce at all levels to an appropriate set of clearly defined Sustainability competencies.
  • To participate and promote building sustainability into everything we do.
  • Ensure that all relevant policies, procedures and guidance are developed fully and implemented.
  • Participate in audit programmes to ensure that the requirements of the Sustainability management systems are being achieved.
  • Ensure that identified Sustainability training needs are delivered to defined schedule.
  • Liaise with all levels of staff and contractors on matters relating to Sustainability.
  • Liaise with external enforcement authorities regarding legal compliance (NIEA / DAERA-NI).
  • Provide support for the identification and assessments of Sustainability Capex requirements.
  • Ensure the implementation of all site Sustainability initiatives to achieve the set KPI’s.
  • Reinforce and strengthen the Sustainability culture at every opportunity in operations and projects.
