DELI LITES are currently recruiting for an Export Graduate as part of the companies overall growth plan. To achieve this, the company has invested in facilities, capacity, technical expertise and sales resource, to ensure we are well placed to maximise the opportunities that will arise.

Job Description

We are currently recruiting for an Export Graduate for an 18 month contract.

As an Export Graduate you will undertake a fully funded Post Graduate Diploma in International Marketing with Ulster University.

To establish long-term success, we need to recruit an Export Graduate that will be focused in the export customer and consumer insights. We want to collaborate with our in-market partners in as many relevant channels as possible and most notably in foodservice. By the end of the project, we would like to have a clearly demonstrable incremental sales revenue of at least £1m pa, as a result of work completed.

The Role:

  • Gather, extrapolate, analyse market research from an international perspective
    that links to the objectives of the Export Plan.
  • Research the ‘To-Go-To-Market’ product range to include core best-sellers
    universally, in-country favourites, plus options for premium specialist, world favours,
    innovative, and seasonal products
  • To have built a consumer insights bank which is useful to DELI LITES Sales &
    Marketing Team when discussing ranges with new customers and range expansions
    with existing customers, across at least 2 markets in the first 9 months
  • To have identified new outlets and operator chains, which DELI LITES are
    progressing to trade with, and/or have listings in within the first year of the project
  • To have a bank of all data required for trading partners and their customers,
    from logistics, product spec data, labelling, certifications, in-store operational
    guidelines and equipment recommendation
  • Utilise resources on-line, industry led publications and global food trends
  • Compile research findings and relate to potential company opportunities, in
    the form of presentation that can be shared internally
  • Liaise with 3rd party agencies on marketing, packaging, logistics and other
    services as required

Work in collaboration with internal company departments to include
NPD, Technical, Logistics, Finance and Ordering departments with reference to
commercial development opportunities

  • Produce product territory reports to include consumer behaviour & trends,
    operator concerns & solutions, perfect in-country partners and most effective &
    efficient routes to market
  • Find solutions to packaging for our products and the most effective way of
    working operationally for storing, heating and serving to customers

Essential Criteria

  • Have a Pass degree - this can be in any discipline
  • Be a recent graduate, with recent defined as having graduated in the last five
  • Be willing to relocate outside Northern Ireland for up to 12 months and have
    the appropriate language skills for that market
  • Have pre-existing legal status to live and work in Northern Ireland
  • In depth knowledge of social media platforms
  • Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills, including the confidence to
    deal with buyers, senior executives
  • Strong organisational, planning and time management skills
  • Commercial acumen
  • Results focused with the ability to work on own initiative
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Able to work flexible hours if required
  • Valid driving licence
  • Able to travel within the UK, Ireland and Europe
